Key Development
Jan. 22, 2007: As reported by Reuters, China's State Council Information Office (SCIO), granted Baidu an Internet news content service licence last week, a government source said, allowing Baidu.com Inc. to do its own reporting rather than simply show news search results at present.
Dec. 04, 2006: Wall Street Journal reports that Baidu is entering the Japanese market.
