On December 26, 2007 Goldwind raised 1.8 billion yuan ($245 million) by selling 10 percent of its expanded share capital in an IPO. The stock price doubled on its IPO day.

Goldwind is the first Chinese clean energy to go public on China's Shenzhen Stock exchange. Currently, non-Chinese residents can not yet invest directly in stocks traded there. Its ticker symbol is 002202.SZ.
Competitors
