ShengdaTech Inc. (OTC BB: SGAT) is a leading manufacturer of nano precipitated calcium carbonate (i.e. NPCC) in Tai’an Ciity, Shandong Province, China.

ShengdaTech has two major business lines. Its coal-based chemical business is a mature, cash-generating business. Its new business in making nano particles known as NPCC is strategically positioned as the company's growth engine. The NPCC business also has a higher margin than its chemical business.

NPCC as a functional filler can be used in tires, PVC building, paper and paints etc. According to the Company, ShengdaTech is the only supplier of NPCC products to the tire industry in China, which represented about 60% of its NPCC revenue.
